Install golazo
golazo installs like an app, straight from the browser.
A progressive web app is a website that the browser can place on the home screen. There is nothing to download from an app store, and updating is simply updating the site.
What installing gives you
- A golazo icon on the home screen, like any other app.
- Full-screen display, with no address bar.
- Three shortcuts on the icon: Calendar, Competitions and Statistics.
- Notifications for the clubs, competitions and players you follow. On iPhone, this is the only way to receive them.
Install on Android (Chrome)
- Open golazo in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Choose “Install app” (or “Add to home screen”), then confirm.
Install on iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open golazo in Safari.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow above it.
- Scroll down and choose “Add to Home Screen”, then “Add”.
On iOS, install golazo from Safari: other browsers do not always offer this option.
Install on a computer (Chrome or Edge)
- Open golazo in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon on the right of the address bar.
- Confirm: golazo opens in its own window.
Turn on notifications
- Log in, then follow a club, a competition or a player.
- Turn on notifications with the button in the page footer.
- Accept the browser's request. You can withdraw it at any time in its settings.
They are only sent over a secure connection (https) and go through your browser's notification service.
What does not change
- golazo cannot be used offline: the app saves no pages, so you never see an outdated result.
- Every update to the site is visible straight away, with nothing to reinstall.
Uninstall
Like any app: press and hold the icon, then “Uninstall” (Android) or “Remove App” (iPhone); on a computer, use the menu of the golazo window.
Not working?
- No install option: check that you are using Safari (iPhone) or an up-to-date Chrome or Edge.
- No notifications: check that golazo is installed (iPhone), that the browser allows them for golazo, and that “Do not disturb” is off.
